The 2023 Parade of Homes
We had the distinct pleasure of being involved with a handful of St. George Area Parade of Homes entries in 2023.
The first of the two homes we were involved in building is home #17 on the parade, Geometrica.
You can read more about that project in a previous post.
Our second large project in this year’s parade is home #21 Westgate Modern.
Westgate Modern - Parade of Homes Entry #21
Westgate Modern features a deliberate design of refined finishes elevating the indoor-outdoor relationship of Southern Utah. An expansive cantilevered roof extends over the pool and patio, drawing your view from the Entry through to the compelling vistas of the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. With several gathering spaces, and four full suites, including the Primary Suite and Casita, this home is set to create a very livable and welcoming atmosphere for homeowners and their guests.
Our fascias grace the roofline on each side of this amazing structure. And while they’re a spectacular example of the custom metalwork Coppertop Metals is known for, there’s an additional piece of artwork in the home, of which we are equally proud.
The Photography Of Austin Prather
On one wall of the expansive family room in the Westgate Modern, you’ll notice a large triptych photograph of an iconic spot in Zion National Park. The Subway is one of the more spectacular hikes in Zion and our very own Austin Prather took a fantastically beautiful photograph in the heart of the Subway.
And it’s the subject of the triptych hanging in the family room of the Westgate Modern.
Having an image hanging in a home where the more intricate details were thought out and managed – the wood grain in every corner of this home flows seamlessly even in the wood of the ceiling and the cabinets – is truly an honor.
Why We Love the Parade of Homes
The St. George Area Parade of Homes is no ordinary Parade. It is the largest home-building showcase in Utah featuring 30 new homes full of the extraordinary.
This event has a long-standing tradition of displaying a variety of spectacular homes and introducing exciting new trends to attendees across the state. The homes are set among breathtaking landscapes only found in Southern Utah.
Each and every year, having our work featured in the parade means thousands upon thousands of visitors to the parade can experience the extra touch of something special we add to the homes we help bring to life.
We are also proud members of the Southern Utah Home Builders Association and we are always delighted to be able to help show our support for SUHBA through our participation in the parade.
So if you take a drive through southern Utah this week to check out the parade homes, make sure you take note of the amazing work we created at Geometirca, and at our other parade entry, home #17 on the parade, Geometrica. built by Slate Ridge Homes.
